This workshop will cover common children’s mental health diagnoses and discuss intervention options.

Trainees will learn about emotional dysregulation, why kids do the things they do, and gain some simple steps to re-direct these behaviors.

Matt Johnson, MSW, LICSW, has over 30 years of experience working with children and families, with an emphasis on mental health and trauma.  He is currently a Social Services Supervisor at St. Louis County.  In addition he has been a long time instructor in the Social Work program at the College of St. Scholastica and as a trainer for the Department of Human Services.
