Parental grief and disappointment are often the unidentified reasons adoptive and foster parents seek professional services. After years of frustration and lack of support, parents may report being disappointed in their experiences, their children, their families, the system, and themselves. This training will discuss how parents can develop acceptance and connection to self and child, respond to secondary trauma, and find a way to see and feel the positive.
