[For Professionals] TBRI training is a must for adoptive and foster parents, as well as ministry leaders and professionals.  The Trust-Based Parenting Series offers in-depth training for parents of children with trauma-based behaviors. The Trust-Based Relational Intervention® is a unique model created by developmental psychologists Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross, founders of the Institute of Child Development. Drs. Purvis and Cross coach families through real life, problem-solving scenarios. They demonstrate proven, practical skills and strategies for applying TBRI principles (Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting) to everyday life to build a stronger parent-child connection, which leads to better behavior.   In this TBRI overview, we will touch on the three principles (Empowering, Connecting and Correcting).  You will learn how to lay the foundation for deep insight regarding the impact of a child’s history on their long-term development.  You will leave with an enhanced understanding about how to interpret behavior and how to respond appropriately.
